Today

by Courtney Hough   Oct 2, 2017

Today my heart is breaking,
and I'm numb to the core.
Seeing more evil in this world,
all the violence all the gore.
My heart bleeds today,
I swear I feel their pain.
It's been a curse of mine,
it makes me feel insane.
I would trade places,
with the wounded or those who died.
So it wouldn't seem so unfair,
to the loved ones who've cried.
Do you ever feel this way?
I long to take the pain away.
Even if it means the death of me,
just so He or She could stay.
I'm feeling the pain of the world today,
and if only God would allow.
I'd pay the ultimate price,
to erase what happened now.

My thoughts and prayers are with Las Vegas. Most importantly for the victims, the families of the victims and the family of the shooter. It's time to forget about race, religion, gender, sexual preference ect and come together.
