You are not water,
maybe one day when your bed turns cold
you’ll comprehend that a human heart
is not meant to be light and fluid.

I don’t know how you say I love you haphazardly
or how you become happy in the company of many,
There are a hundred other things
I will not be able to understand
because I can never say I love you as a lie.

I still think of you,
But the truth is everything in this world is sold
and it’s just me hurting over the fact that
I have believed otherwise.

    Miss Mel,

the hurt we live with, and the consequences of truth can be hard on us. But at least its the truth :)
A nice piece from you, that flowed really well, albeit with sadness

Lady Mel, a sad write indeed. So many people throw love around a bit too lightly. I'm sorry you had to be on the receiving end of that. Hugs my friend-

A sad and wistful sort of write, Mel, that didn't cheer my morning at all, I have to say... lol

Take care and all the best,
