I Think It's Love

I strangely found my pen
scratching against some papers
with an inkling about something-

The night changed and
the jar with the moonbeams on it
broke into so tiny pieces they couldn't
match the darkness-

But suddenly I'm writing along the lines
of having found a universe in your eyes
and of a faint sparkle that somehow began to show.

Of opening windows for moonlight to flood in
even if the night has always been there-

"I need you"
"I want you to love me"

I'm scribbling more than
what I ought to,
and my fingers are smudged with ink-

It's a little bumpy
and I'm a little awkward but

"I... I... I think it's love."
