Tired

by Someone Invisible   Dec 8, 2017

A schoolhouse sitting like a graveyard
Of abandoned ambitions can be seen
From a broke down barn overlooking
Lazing sheep grazing by
Old Man’s Pond. And
A forgotten cobblestone road sits
Dotted with muted wild flowers
Blowing softly in the wind.

Those first two lines really got me! A brilliant, nostalgic short piece that says so much! :-) x
