GIVE US THIS DAY!

GIVE US THIS DAY!

As I rise in the morn, the dreams of the night have taken flight, much to my delight. A new day is born, an old lost love dream has left my mind forlong, maybe this day will bring back my joy, I pray. As the beams of sunlight slide slowly across my bed, words prompt my lips to say; dear God above, I’m weary, give me a shove, my new wife gives me a loving smile and a hug.

Grant me the strenght to avoid this day’s evil which is sure to come, it’s everywhere, I would love to drag it out of my hair! At work, the new Secretary mesmerizes me with her sly stare, my enemy is using one of his best snares, believer beware!

Then comes the bad news, my Boss tells me that no longer my service he can use, I am totally crushed, some other workers seem to be amuzed. Going home I stop at the local Pub, maybe the Demon Rum will give me a hug, but the reality is that I just want to be alone. As the alcohol temps me with it’s kiss, I am lulled into a state of bliss, then in an instant bout of anger I cry out; God; why did you allow all this?

As I open my front door, my wife says; dear, where have you been for so long, the kids and I were worried, being alone. With slurred words I blurt out; I’m so sorry Gert, I didn’t mean for you and the kids to be hurt. When I tell her of my job loss, she hugs me and says; don’t worry dear, have no fear, before my Dad had died, he gave me an envelope that was not to be opened unless we had a great need, his wish I did heed.

When we opened the envelope, what it contained was a Deed to a home, a large Bank account, and best of all, a Company to own!
Today as I sit in my CEO’s chair, the tears well big in my eyes, so much that only blurred images appear. The day has ended and from the *Risen One; these words I did hear: I Care!
