Tidal Wave

by CJ Maleney   Dec 8, 2018

How blissfully unaware of what moves bellow my tranquil waters.

Dark undercurrents churn and flow, devious and desperate intentions, to what purpose?

I may seem tranquil, I may seem peaceful and calming.

Yet I will become more than you envisage, I will suck you from your depths and cast you broken upon the shore.

Now I see you!

The first thing that came to my mind when I read the title of the poem is, will it be sad or will it be peaceful? And it turned out to be both. In my opinion this poem is a great one!

It is neither. There are no metaphors hidden in this one.

It is nothing other than violence
