No Regrets, No Loss

by Larry Chamberlin   Apr 2, 2019

I know where all the time goes
though twenty years sped by in a flash
there’s been time for work and duty
to dive into the ocean and make a splash

There were minutes to relax playing games
hours to be fretful in so many ways
but still I knew even in stillness of mind
the passing of unrecoverable days.

No regrets for moments spent anxiously
waiting for it’s passage, for peace to return
nor need to relive each glorious joy
it’s true the past is not my concern

Certainly I’ve made huge mistakes
thank Life for their abundance as such
without them, no learning was made
celebrate not repeating them as much.

I know where all the time has gone
and will even tell it to you given the chance
never woke up wondering where I was
simply hope I can have this next dance.

The end line speaks hope, I hope this hope lives. Good work.

Larry, what an inspirational write! Life is too short to live in regret. You have to live!

    Oh Larry...I'm pondering..
I hope if I ever live for another 10 years, that I be standing in your shoes. I would be grateful if in future I was to lay my head on a pillow and say...I know where all the time has gone. Working on it :) a neat poem, a motivator, and a moving one too.
