Lay your Head down

by Kayla Sonya Dearing   Dec 20, 2004

Sweet Baby
Lay your head down to sleep
And dream of sweet dreams

When you awake
All will be well
All will be peaceful

Sweet baby Jesus
Lay your head down to sleep
And dream of sweet dreams

When you grow
You'll grow to a wonderful person
You'll grow to a peaceful man
You'll grow to someone that will die for our sins
And show us how much you care.

Lay your child down
So he can sleep
Lay down next to your child
Protect him from danger
And show him you love him
Some day you'll lose him

You'll lose him from the world
But his soul, Spirit, and Love shall live on
You'll lose a son
That tried to save all from evil

But fail because
Of hate that's in this world
But yet he passed because
Of the love that's in this world.

Mary, Sweet Sweet Mary
Please don't be sad
Please be happy
Because of what your son will do

Sweet Sweet Jesus
You have made your mother happy
You have made your mother sad
But what you have did was to forgive our sins and prove your love to us.

Rest your heads
And dream of sweet dreams
And remember what Jesus will do
But don't be sad,
All because his love, spirit, and soul shall live on forever.
