This simple thought intoxicating
A chance to finally be free
Away from all the pain and lies
Another way to be

This past few days, ecstatic
I've not been so happy in years
For somehow you've awoken me
From all my silent fears

I now confess that it was you
Who has brought me new found hope
I don't know how, but you've given me
A different way to cope

Thanks to God and all your kindness
His will, and your sweet words
I once again can smile, laugh
