Nowhere's Road

by ben thompson   Feb 9, 2008

Cast-off and forged in darkness, encased in solid stone.
Mind numbing cold erases, memories stranded all alone.

Peace a forgotten illusion, from time lost in the past.
Reality a sad hardened future, not sure I can last.

Pushed down endless stairways, entering nowheres despair.
Falling ever faster now, toward judgments final lair.

Triumph a forgotten shadow, drenched in fading rain.
Existence just a worthless blob, another soiled stain.

Walking down a dying path, shadow cast by midnight sun.
Exasperated soul lies deserted, torments favored son.
