Society

I smile and say, "Hi",
As another person passes by,
They ignore me and keep walking,
I see someone else, and keep talking,

I walk around without a face,
Hiding, because I feel out of place,
I just don't think I'm the same,
As I ignore someone asking my name,

I'm running again, always late,
Can't I be on time for just one date?,
Although its more emotional abuse,
I force yet another excuse,

I wish someone would notice me,
But I'm someone they'll never see,
They're too busy to hear my voice,
I envy them, I wish I had that choice,

I wish I had the courage to fit in,
But my anxiety wont let me win,
When everyone else seems so great,
I feel like a reject of fate,

I wish my life would be more slow,
Instead of always being on the go,
And that I would just have the chance,
To experience a perfect romance,

But what I really want the most,
Is to turn into a ghost,
And finally be free,
From our messed up society.

----------------------------------------------------------------
I wrote this in the view of 3 typical life styles.

1) A nice caring person who's always being ignored.
2) Someone who feels they can never fit in.
3) A person who's too busy to live their life.

1 = stanza's 1&4
2 = stanza's 2&5
3 = stanza's 3&6

END = my personal view :)
