An Ocean of Beta

by Stephanie   Mar 15, 2008

I'm in the Beta club at my school and I entered this poem at the state level convention. I got 2nd place at the state level convention and I got 4th place in making a different poem in 30 minutes at the national level convention. The theme was: Beta, an ocean of opportunities.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Waves crash along the shore,
Hear them splash, hear them roar
Waves rise, dive, and soar
Distant waves keep rolling, forevermore

A melting sun on the horizon
Red, indigo, and violet, many colors high
Gold, orange, and scarlet, on a sunset
Opportunity is as endless as the sky

Warm mist in the breeze,
All is calm, all is at ease
Sunset melts into an evening grace
Every Beta finding their place

Life in the ocean,
Is the same as Beta
Together as one, they thrive,
They take their chances
And make their choices
To survive

Beta is far beyond the sea
Beta is what you believe
Beta is what you will achieve
Beta is anything you want to be
