Betrayed Friendship

by Kim   Mar 15, 2008

I believed in you
Saw all the good things inside
And trusted they were stronger
How you've hurt me
Crushed every bit of hope in me

Maybe I should thank you
For opening my eyes
For showing me the good in people
Can sometimes be forgotten
Denied

I think I didn't learn my lesson
For I still believe in the brightest of souls
I still put all of my faith in friendship
But you have crossed my distant line
And I don't think I can forgive you

You left a scar that will never fade
You left a trace that makes me remember
Even friends can turn on you
I wish I'd never found out this way
But wishing can't make it so

I will have to live with this

And so do you...

This poem really gives a good picture of a lost relation(friend)ship. Both people learned from it.

Nice word choice! Especially like the last stanza because of that!

    Great Job!
