Bittersweet

by Krathia   Mar 24, 2008

As cold as truth, her azure eyes are
Against her cheeks so rosy red
Such stormy liquid orbs of sapphire
Deep enough to drown the dead

A wavy mane of midnight black
Thicker than the winds of North
Completes the details she'll never lack
To glorify the perfection she brings forth

Deadlier than love is her smile
Sweeter than desire is her voice
So easily can she tantalize and beguile
How many have succumbed without choice?

Darkness they had found in her light
The brightest star had led them astray
So bitter-sweetly they wander her nefarious night
Upon her luring laughter, themselves they betray
