I Am

by Krathia   Mar 24, 2008

I am a mystic reverie and a star of nightfall
I wonder what slumbering children dream of
I hear the forlorn songs of the lonesome evening moon
I see the spirits of sunset retreat to the west
I want to roam the dark skies without fear of falling
I am a mystic reverie and a star of nightfall

I pretend to soar like a flame-tailed asteroid
I feel the kiss of the night wind upon my cheek
I touch the ghost of the sun with a single finger
I worry that it would haunt my every waking moment
I cry when a child ceases to believe in magic
I am a mystic reverie and a star of nightfall

I understand the bittersweet love for solitude
I say that everyone's a star in the right light
I dream about enchanted worlds and fabled realms
I try to shine as brightly as I can
I hope my dreams will never fade
I am a mystic reverie and a star of nightfall
