A woman's heart

by Ingrid   Mar 29, 2008

What does it take to make a woman's heart sing?
Is it the sight of her newborn baby, born out of love?
The smell of freshly cut grass on a warm summer's day?
Money, more than she could spend in her lifetime?
Jewelery, worthy to be worn by an Eastern princess?

No, it is none of the joys mentioned above........

The true love and devotion of a man is what it takes to make a woman's heart happy.
For what she truly needs is to be held by his loving arms when she falls asleep.
To be comforted by them when she is scared or worried.
To have every inch of her body cherished and brought to life by his kisses.
To look deep inside his eyes and to see her love being returned by him.
The most powerful of emotions in this world, the love shared between a man and a woman is the only thing that could ever really make her heart sing.

Sweet and beautiful....I like the way Ingrid questions what value to set on true love....then proceeds to answer in the following lines:

"The most powerful of emotions in this world, the love shared between a man and a woman is the only thing that could ever really make her heart sing."

    Thanks for the entry Ingrid!

Pretty good poem bt I must disagree with your poem just a bit. A new born child (her child) can bring the joy, love, song to her heart also. But besides that it was a very good job.
