Only Liars Don't Care

You get hurt but it's fine
You've felt worse in your life
When you hurt them you know
Because you've been there, letting go
Amazing how you find people
With mirrors for different parts of your personality
So easy to read what can't be seen
When you've been there,
Holding that pain, remembering memories
Such a fragile life, searching for strength within
Supporting the ones who aren't bad off
Because you want them to live well
Knowing you can't save everybody
Could never even save yourself
But you give it your best
Still the hero in you tries to take your all
With everything gone you try to get a grip
So you can help those in need,
Give, but you're afraid to receive
For them you'll want to stay,
Though all else in you screams to run away
When it all fell away,
You were cold, left bare to lay
Unbeknownst of the worth in you
When you're afraid it could all become gone
You lose sight of what to do
And the plan of life only meant for you to follow through
