She Just Can't

She just can't help but care
Cuz she knows without them she gets nowhere
They think she's crazy, they see her as strong
But what will they think when she's just up and gone?
She sees the hurt-she feels for it, she tries to fix what can't be seen
She does her best to get there, knowing eventually she'll need to leave
So what happens in between?
To the people that have more than what the world could mean?

She doesn't know what's going on
She doesn't care; it's been real all along
He gets annoyed so easily
But refuses to show it, so fights blow over peacefully
Sounds so different than how she views it
But she won't figure out
Why all he is, comes to her so easily

The road was getting rough, she wondered if she would ever be ready
To hit reality with a fistful of security
Like a cushion all around her
Family suffocated her into the scheme
Preparing to move out
But life took a different turn
Threw at her one of the worst
By landing her best friend in a hearse

They say it's not supposed to go like that
With people screaming in pain
Tears flooding their heart again and again
She feels pulled apart, watching from a different place
Feeling the slight start of herself going insane
All she wants to do
Is just prevent some of the pain
