Pain, Misery

by Amber   Apr 11, 2008

So many tears escape my eyes
everyday of my life, I may fake
all my happiness but so what if
I do as long as you're happy that's
all I care about.

So what if I am dying on the inside,
who cares? As long as you are
happy that is all that matters to me.

I let all these tears
and all my fears
fall out of my eyes
as I let small sighs
of misery escape my
lips.

But I will make sure you
don't see me when I let
all these hot yet strangely
cold salty tears race down
my cheeks and off of my
chin.

I don't want you to know
about all my misery
and pain. I don't want you
to worry about me.

I don't want to make your
life harder than it already
is. Trust me, I know that once
you find out you will run off
in frustration, which will only
led me to more pain and
misery and to wishing I
was gone.

Pain...
Misery...
Pain...
Misery...

Some day you may save me
by killing me but now you are
hurting me by keeping me alive...

Your pain is expressed so clearly in this poem, confusion spills out in your words too.
Just to point out one possible error
