I Am Because You Push Me

I am because you make me
it is your cheers that shake me

I hear the voices in my head crying for action
they need a man of duty beyond any faction

if I am great it's because others make me great
they spur me on to never settle for second rate

great men of history shout out for me to take glory
I am nudged forward to formulate my bold story

no one forces me to take initiative they only prod
for honor, and remembrance my feet are shod

remembrance is my goal, and greatness is the mark
it is up to me now, my supporters ignited the spark

History favors they who snatch victory from defeat
fame is vanity, only to Honorable glory do I entreat

remember the name for it will rise above all the rest
for not I but others will laud it with great pride and zest
