Bed Of Stone ... -- Too Late ... OO

by Danielle   May 29, 2004

I lay in this BED OF STONE
Looking at this gray wall
I hear prisoners screaming
As they walk death row hall
My heart beats faster
I cant get away
No forgiveness to be mind
There is no escape
I lay in this BED OF STONE
It cuts and hurts my fragile shape
Crying alone in the darkness
I know that its too late
Im trapped inside these lonely walls
It will forever last
The firey pits of hell
Im a prisoner of my past
I lay in this BED OF STONE
Fearful image in my eye
Regret and pain all I know
It sends a shiver down my spine
I feel the sky falling
Falling down upon me fast
I cant breathe, I cant see
Darkness always lasts
I lay in this BED OF STONE
Millions of scars un told
I'm torn, and I'm alone
Nothing but a damaged soul
Im stuck inside a bad place
Haunted by all I do
Feelings less and less
Of what matters to you
I lay in this BED OF STONE
Held down by my lies
You wont leave me be
Until I confess my cries
I refuse to say anything
Of my wrongs and rights
I just want to be left alone
Die without a fight
I lay in this BED OF STONE
It cuts and hurts my fragile shape
Crying alone in the darkness
I know that its too late

* if you didn?t get this??.He is speaking to god from his cell before he dies*

i think that this was one of the most well written and emotionally beautiful poems i have read in a long time. being the strange person i am, i kinda thought about it as maybe not literally a prisoner in cell but maybe about somebody thats subconscensely trapped. i dont know, thats just what i was thinking of. anyway, i enjoyed it very much, keep it up.

Wow, i'm impressed. That was one of the better poems i've read today. Alot of people just write crap that sounds good together, including myself sometimes. But that was really well written...i kinda thought he was a prisoner from like a war or something, but it was still awesome.
