Murder is Wrong

by Imogen   Jun 7, 2008

Murder is wrong.
It's an inherited truth known from the start.

Murder is wrong.
Killers would be punished if the world had a heart.

Murder is wrong,
And yet for some the punishment is glory.

Murder is wrong
But for some, the government glances over the gory.

Murder is wrong,
But strangely this doesn't always apply.

Murder is wrong,
But soldiers are exempt. Leaders please tell me why.

Murder is wrong.
So why aren't all killers treated the same?

Murder is wrong.
So why do some get rewarded, receive medals and fame?

Murder is wrong,
Labelled as courage, despite grief that is rife.

Murder is wrong.
How can it be brave to rob another of his life?

Murder is wrong.
So please explain to me, why is war just?

Murder is wrong.
So why're some paid to kill, by those we're meant to trust?

Murder is wrong,
But against each other soldiers are pitted.

Murder is wrong.
Countries don't matter, a crime is still committed.

War is murder and murder is wrong.
