One day

by Ingrid   Jul 10, 2008

One day the blinders will come off,
all will become clear
Your quest will come to an end
on the realization that love was always here

You will see things
as they really are and know
Love is not some unreachable ideal,
you did not wait in vain for it to show

That blessed day you will see
Gods presence in all that surrounds you
Realizing love is not to be searched for
but there in all we see and do

The world will seem to have
a second layer and present itself in all its beauty
The poison will finally leave your heart,
put there so long ago relentlessly

You will know you had it all along
It was your conviction of being undeserving of such luck
standing between you and true fulfillment
Loneliness will prove to be an illusion and life will no longer suck

Dedicated to my friend, stand up guy Bob Shank aka Sluvious.
