T.V. mumbles in the background
Crickets sing for me some more
I'm thinking of that summer day
When you walked out my door
There's nothing left of that girl
That you used to love so much
When everything was perfect
Like your smile and your touch
My heart torn from my chest
Like a grenade, about to blow
You're not so easy to forget
Even if it doesn't show
You held my heart within your hand
And you squeezed until it burst
With handing me my heartache
You fueled my growing thirst
I put back what was left
Behind my breast, behind my ribs
I'm sorry that I trusted you
That's all I had to give...

    You're not so easy to forget
    Even if it doesn't show

    Those lines and the last 2 lines were unbelievable
    i love how you tell a story in your poems, but you do it in a rhyming pattern
