In hues of gray

In hues of gray
my life is painted
Pitch black spots
over time faded away

Time is kind
to the troubled mind
Sorrow and despair
eventually left behind

My undying hope
for the yellow and the red,
a place in the sun
helped me to cope

For it is the will to live
that keeps me going
My believe in myself
and my ability to give

To one day have that:
love and be loved
Simply be and be happy
Looking back without regret
