Self Defense

Self defense

"Freeze
Put your hands on your head..."
This chapter of my biography is suspenseful
But the story's still unread

"You have the right to remain silent...
(Leave out the important part)
If you don't, I promise
I'll watch your soul depart"

I guess self defense
Isn't enough to sway the jury
Regardless of his attack
I have to suffer his fury

One punch is all it takes
Survival is now a crime
Take it from the criminal
Whose about to serve his time

part II (redemption)

I suffered for two years
In this god forsaken place
Then they tell me I'm free to go
And my heart begins to race

But they can't heal the damage
This hell has done
After two years of darkness
You cry when you see the sun

You come back to your family
But they give you the cold shoulder
Who would of thought after those cold stares
My own families could be even colder

They told me freedom felt great
But even after the exemption
When the locked me up they changed my life
Beyond the point of redemption
