Drenched In Tears Of Defeat..

by Saving Grace   Sep 4, 2008

The fake smile she finally dropped,
There was too much that she had copped,
Couldnt hold it on her face for a second longer,
She finally gave up, to admit he was stronger.

She didnt laugh, or even smile,
Just sat in deadly silence for a while.
Until she broke down into tears,
To give up was always one of her greatest fears.

Her face drenched, in tears of defeat,
It killed her to admit she had been beat.
The last few years of agony and shame,
Were finally stopped as she ended his game.

It meant he had won,
But she just couldnt handle the damage he'd done.
So she let it all go,
And lost all control.

Crying uncontrolably, into her hands,
Soaking her hair, strand by strand.

When she gave up, she remembered what she was once told,
Something that she will forever hold,
"Giving up is easy, standing to fight is tough,
but never let this idiot see when youve had enough"

So she swallowed the tears back,
And a small smile she managed to crack,
Although to this day, she has NO support,
She knows it took stregnth for the fight that she fought..
