Wait

by gracey grey   Oct 30, 2008

Towards the dam I will wait
Silently, patiently
I will wait with my pulsating heart
counting pebbles
while a tear or two falls
and listen to my silent screams
But I will wait
For the perfect moment
to arrive- earnestly,
hopelessly........
for your arrival
Here, where waters run.

Such beautiful words that create a sense of sadness. The descriptions blew me away and although this piece was short, you proved you can say all you want in such little amount of words. Great write, congrats on the win! 5/5 from me. Keep writing, always and forever....

Flawless flow in a very neat package
    well deserving of recognition

Very well written and the flow is very good. It is sad, sitting and waiting on your love to arrive, watching the waters run.

For some reason this made me feel terribly sad as if i knew you were waiting in vain, this is a very melancholy poem and very well written
