Starbucks Gal

by Faithless   Nov 2, 2008

Sitting there on the dark blue couch
she looks lovely wearing her plain black scarf
she slowly sips her starbucks coffee to half
her interesting story makes her 3 friends laugh

Feeling cold she warps herself in her brown sweater
the subtle warmness makes her feel better
as she chill underneath this beautiful weather
I wonder if dark clouds would matter to her

Looking through the lens of her camera
she sees her friends adjusting their aperture
moments freeze with her digital capture
picking the best of her work she wants to feature

though some things looks better in macro mode
let your imagination run wild
and you'll find that your creative ideas are overload
cause you never know you might accidentally capture
the effects within the picture that you've always hope

Very interesting concept. I enjoyed the fact that you had it in a unique setting, a film shoot. This concept was done very well and I believe was thought of a great deal. Very well done.

There are places where the flow needs some improvement

    "let your imagination run wild
and you'll find that your creative ideas are overload"

I would recommend putting it something like "Let yourself run wild, your idea's will put you in overload"

The reason I put that there is because it completely changes the structure and flow at the end. The last few lines really throw off what the rest of the poem has created.

I feel other than the mentioned above, that this is a really good poem, putting the jacket around her to keep her warm, good similie. I enjoyed this poem.

5 Boss Stars out of 5.
