The essence is gone (but the aura remains)

by kevin Boundy AKA the ghost   Nov 18, 2008

This generation is lost
In a whirlwind of hate
We still got another 40 years
Before the next "clean slate"

I strive for change
In this breeding place of sin
Inside our own minds
Is where the battle begins

We are not products of our environment
We are the difference of right and wrong
You treat us like a disease and still wonder
Why our hate for you is so strong

"We're just trying to save you"
By wrapping us in chains
The essence of ignorance may be gone
But its aura still remains
