The girl

by iFallToPieces   Jan 19, 2009

She was sitting in her room,
Her eyes filled up with tears.
Holding on to her only friend,
Her little teddy bear.

She tells the bear her secrets,
She told him she can not stay strong,
She tells him all her thoughts,
And wishes they were wrong.

She told the bear,
And showed him her scars.
She told him she wished,
To be up with the stars.

She wanted it to happen,
She wanted to take her life.
All she needed to do,
Was grab her little knife.

So she sat down in her room,
Holding on to her only friend,
Hoping, that today,
Would finally be the end.

She holds her little teddy,
Starts to say goodbye,
Grabs her little knife,
And softy begins to cry.

She wants to end the pain,
She wants it all to end.
So tightly she holds,
Onto her little friend.

She slices the knife down,
As hard as can be.
Finally it is the end.
For the girl who was me.

Well though this poem is tragic, i can sense the innocence of the little girl. Well i also like the idea of having a teddy bear as her only friend. I'm sure many can relate to this poem as most of us grew up with clutching on to our teddy bear.It was a beautiful write.

I love, love, love it. It is a really good poem, but it is sad. If this portrays how you feel, I hope that you will start to see the beauty in life.

Another sad till my tears can be shown in my eyes, perfect poetic configuration , and the tedy bear usage was original and very good.

I am sure teddy bears all over the world, hear their 'owners' problems. When you dont have anyone else to talk to, they seem to always be there lol.
The ending was a bit sad.. it wasnt quite what i was expecting.
    Nicely written.
