Freedom Calling

Got it in me to run
Guess genetics finally had a part
In my life I fight to oppose
The family line of mistakes
But I grab this wheel
Heading north.....going far for an empty heart
Tears echo the sound of loneliness
A path I chose, due to-guess?
Family, heartbreak, and defense
Standing on the edge I pause
Waiting for the fall
The rain comes down
Pouring out through storm clouds
Covering my world in Grey
I just look up wishing I could let myself go
Dreaming of a better day
Drama, tears, and loss never happen
Open spaces are easily available
And city streets appear only when you're lost
Mixed breed
Yea,thats me
A walking contradiction
Life throws alot of punches
Knocked me on my ass a couple times or two
But there was never a time
I couldn't pick it up off the ground
Something is pulling on my soul
calling me away
Maybe someday, I'll trust a man
Settle down and roll from there
Right now I gotta figure shit out
Push the accelerator down
Passing mile marker 318
