My heartless, lying puppet.

by Joyce Duboise   Apr 8, 2009

The honesty is gone,
You are living outside of yourself,
Something in you went wrong,
Where did you lose yourself?

Your greatest Enemies,
Have become your greatest comparisons,
Once a friend to me,
You had no comparisons.

Living a life of Make-Believe,
Who are you?,
When did your soul leave?
Do you know you...?

I gave you it all,
You took it for advantage,
I slip, I fall,
You still take advantage.

You laughed, You cried,
You knew the outcome,
You smiled, You lied,
Expecting a better outcome.

Drown in your self-pity,
Put on your guilt trip,
I am far to witty,
To go on your little "trip".

Play me for a fool,
I am no fool for you,
Yeah, you make them drool,
But you aren't being you.

Too far in now,
You'd return to yourself,
If you only knew how,
You gave up on yourself.

Might as well let it all go,
Give up on everything,
Keep up your little show,
You've already lost everything.

Now you want to apologize,
And be the "true" you,
Take back all the lies,
And pick a different you.

You can't erase life,
You can't turn back time,
So deal with your strife,
You feel the pain this time.

Let the tables turn,
You can become my puppet,
Oh how lovely you are,
My heartless, lying, puppet.
