Deserts and Oceans

Deserts and Oceans
No different than the Meadows
Where the winds show your emotions
Except in their shadows

You've wandered for years
Seeing nothing on this earth
Except you constant fears
And never knowing your worth

Even though you find yourself surrounded
You still feel even more alone
As if pain has you down and bounded
Slowly crushing you by all you've known

You may seem crazy in the mirror
Just talking to myself
But it all seems inferior
To the sorrows on my shelf

All my walls fade away
Losing my hole to hide
Exposing a little more everyday
And all I can say is I tried

Let me just lay here
Give me a few more days
To hide from what I fear
As my heart decays

So Deserts and Oceans
No different than the Meadows
Take away all my emotions
And let me rest in your shadows

Aw are you sad? I love this poem and I feel so much emptiness, and maybe some fear and confusion. It's very well written with a great rhyme scheme and great word choice to convey the emotions. I felt as if I were on a roller coaster. It's beautiful, 5/5 :)
