Hush

by Stephanie   Apr 16, 2009

Hush baby,
Don't cry,
You've given your fight a hard try

Lullaby into your sweet unconsciousness,
As I rock your cradle,
With my tunes of harmony,
That smooth even the bumpiest troubles,
And mend the most teared up soul

Rest and lay down your head,
For now your struggles have gone to bed
There's no need to cry,
No need to fuss,
For my strumming melodies you can trust

Have faith in me,
And I will be your guide
I'll lead you to your hopes and dreams,
Through the path of self-esteem
And travel you around your fears and terrified screams

My everlasting song will remain true,
Even as you grow old,
I'll still be with you
And depending on your mood,
I'll sing notes both pleasant and blue

Hush baby,
Don't cry,
You've given your fight a hard try
