Crossroads

by kevin Boundy AKA the ghost   Jun 29, 2009

Where can I hope to start
Standing here trench knife drawn
My life is just a never ending battle
I fight from dusk till' dawn

A thousand men stand in my way
A force of thousands against an army of one
Every time I close my eyes I shudder
I'll never be free of what I've done

I stand in the pouring rain
The drops turn red with my embrace
I'm so close to fading away from this hell
so close You can barely see my face

Lightning crashes above my head
Thunder shakes the earth on which I stand
I feel so close to drowning out
And yet I'm standing on dry land

I continue to fight for my life
Always an inch from defeat
Here I stand forever more
With these crossroads always at my feet

This poem was made to describe what's going on in my head so if its a little mixed up its a reflection of how i feel. hope you enjoy it.
