Moving too fast

by Hollow Emotion   Jul 30, 2009

Can't stand to see your face
or even be around you.
You brought fear into my life,
I don't know what to do.

Can't shed tears by you,
it shows weakness.
Can't talk to you,
because I'm speechless.

There are many things
I want you to know,
but I'm afraid of the outcome
so I'm letting this relationship flow.
I thought things would get better
as the time went on,
but five months have passed by
and I'm feeling this relationships wrong.

You are a nice guy,
but you come off a bit fast.
The first day I met you,
the friend zone, you were past.

Kissing is whatever,
making out is fine,
getting in bed is different,
sex is where i draw the line.

You understood no at first
but days went on,
but now if I say no
you don't care, even if you know it's wrong.

I want you to listen
and show me that you care,
instead when I talk to you
all I get is a blank stare.

Excellent poem! I think if you moved it to a category in sad or love poems you'd get more hits. More people should be reading your work, this was excellent, again beautifully written, flowed really well, each line worked really with the last.

I like the ending and the idea of the poem. Relatable, and easy to follow. The only thing I suggest working on is the flow. Great write,

    mandy :)
