One More Day

by Sylvia   Aug 31, 2009

If I could have one more day with you,
Mother dear, to sit beside your chair,
lay my head upon your lap,
close my eyes, feel the comfort there.

I would bare my soul,
share all my hopes and dreams,
the fears, shed a few tears;
tell you how much you are missed,
that I love you still.

I would touch your face,
look into your eyes,
marvel at your smile,
etch those features in my mind forever.

Just one more day.

    Such a sad pice. I don't know what I would do without my mom. It is hard when someone you love so much passes away and there are things left unsaid. A very emotional and thought provoking piece!

    This is very nice. A mother is one of the important things in life. You're blessed if you have a good one and if you don't, well, one has to make up the loss of having a good mother by being a good mother to one's children.

    This has touched me very much so because I know what it feels like to miss a good mother, even when you lack such a figure in ur life. 5/5. Peace, W.
