It'd Take a Bullet...

My heart crumbles as I reach
to help yet I know it won't do
justice; it kills me each time.
All I can do is sit in wonder--
why do unfortunate things
happen to the greatest
of people--like you?
I'll never know.

I wish there was a way
to inflict this pain you feel
on myself...I just want to
free you of all the bad and
replace it with the best.
I wish I had that ability;
yet I know I don't.

All I can do is send my
love and hope the best
is finding its way...and
this plague of evil will
disappear from your
life...forever. Afterall,
you do deserve the best.

I hope you know if there
ever came a day you
were in danger--I'd take
a bullet for you. I'd risk
my life for you, 'cause
I do care, I care about you.
