Mindflow

by Rolo   Jan 3, 2010

Watch the evening willows cry; the birds flow freely through the sky
And as the tale's ending goes, happily ever, the after shows
What comes first, chicken or shell, top or bottom, heaven or hell?
Through your search please do recall: A circle has no end at all

So what is what, and what is this? Will these answers bring me bliss?
But what is bliss but hope and love, and every thought that we think of
When nothing seems to fit in place it's only wise to think of space
That's all we are, that's all we take aside from all the lies we make

Our words are evil, our words ignite; they hold the power of insight
We use them blindly as if to say, our mind is in a lonely way
As stars exist to right our wrongs, the birds will smile through their songs
Always there to watch and live, as we take all we give

Stare around your window pane, boarded, thrashed, blocking rain
Wonder why these trees don't talk, then ask your shoes to take a walk
Soak your soles in liquid glory, find the pages to your story
Look around and listen well, the leaves will whisper magic spells

And you will cry if you can't weep, for all this beauty is at your feet
Deeper than our vision knows, our spirit's energy brightly glows
And so it stands that we know nothing, still we stay as if we're something
A something that cannot stall, for a circle has no end at all.

A circle has no end at all.

It doesn't happen often. Hasn't happened in a while... but you have blown my mind. I love a number of your poems but chose to comment on this one because THIS, is genius. Thank you, I have a feeling I will be coming back to this poem often.

That is a deep and insightful poem! You made it flow very well. This poem can stir up several different emotions in one reading. "When nothing seems to fit in place it's only wise to think of space
That's all we are, that's all we take aside from all the lies we make" That is my favorite line. Great job

Stare around your window pane, boarded, thrashed, blocking rain / Wonder why these trees don't talk, then ask your shoes to take a walk" i don't know why i love these lines so much, i guess it's the imagery maybe. the flow was very good. all of the lines, as random as they were, all tied together somehow. and i also love "A circle has no end at all." great poem!
