Dancing Queen.

by Courageous Dreamer   Jan 16, 2010

I paint choreography
as I perform under my stage
of tangerine-soaked skies.
Dreams awaken with each
flutter of my silk wings-
opening heavenward,
awakening to the taste of faith.

Sanguine emotions run free,
as I escape once maudlin
inked skies of raining doubt
and electrocuting pain.
I am a queen, ruler of the skies,
expressing love and beauty
with each tip toe on the breeze.

The imagery here is just perfect. You have a flawless balnce between imagery and emotion. I loved it. I felt this piece flowed well and kept the reader interested. It wasn't too long and wordy which is also great. A very original and refreshing piece to read. I enjoyd it :) Nik

Oh Temps you did put this up! And I am ever so delighted!

I would not change a word or a line at all, you pictured the beauty and ease that this queen of the skies truly feels. Wouldn't it be grand to be on her wings?

The last line hit me like a warm sun filled with imagery, and I had a longing to fly high up into the heavens.

    Simply stunning my dear.

God bless you and thanks for the read!

Thanks for the explanation, Temps. Rereading it I can see it is indeed about a butterfly, lol..but they are queen of the ball too, in a way;)
