Here I Am

by Poet on the Piano   Feb 17, 2010

The sage spirits of my ancestors fly overhead
telling that the high lands to the north and south
are misted over with greed-embraced foolishness.

Though I wander barefoot away from my county
it seems evident I do not stand alone in this fight

.....for justice.

My fellow kin evoke in me a heart-filled longing
one that leads on to set remorseful captives free
I will accept this pilgrimage on behalf of humanity.

The skilled air divers encircle around my figure
raising me by their aspirant voice who reconcile

.....for love.
