Family...

by Lady Nik   Mar 12, 2010

We use to talk
share stories about the day
jokes that would spring
into laugher. Watch old movies
and share a bowl of popcorn.

But lately you've changed.

You never come to my shows
or have time to read my work.
I turned eighteen and you
turned your back on me.
Gave me my goals and that
was that.

No we believe in you?
No you can do anything?
Only...do this, beat that, stay
here, go there. Rules, guidelines,
orders, instructions.

I could come to you crying
and you'd make everything okay.
Now I lock myself in my room
because your words hurts so much.
I'm not sure why this hurts so much
to have family...that doesn't want me.

Families can be very confusing at times their way of thinking changes when you hit a certain age..but that doesn't mean they don't love you...I can understand the emotional pain you are going through now...chin up my dear & don't loose faith on your family..take care.
