I imagine...I believe

Maybe tonight we can
forget about it all.
Stand like statues in rushing
water and not be moved.
Hold our ground, think
our thoughts and all will
be lost. Maybe tonight
we can live the way
our dreams do. Freely--
unchained, no restraints
just fictitious fairy tales
silhouetted by silk smiles
and glamorous gleams

Automatic..I imagine

a time when I will jump
from cloud to cloud and never
touch the wax atmosphere
beneath me. Branches of
metallic blueberries will sway
fusing with the August night breeze.
Lovely the way the world works
when you're just a child.
