Relapse.

by Courageous Dreamer   Apr 28, 2010

This flickering flame of distress,
burns holes in my heart-
deeper than you know-
destroying all that remains;
vacancy.

Disconsolate am I--
callous is your touch-
crafting my soul into labyrinth-
tangling emotions-
complexity.

World frayed to shreds;
struggling to reassemble all that's lost.
Uncontrollable spells of tears
blur vision towards happiness-
sightless; stumbling upon life--
relapse.

    Events in life bring sadness and just when we think we have moved beyond them, memories bring us back there and there is a relapse of to that sadness.
