Praising Semantics

by Poet on the Piano   Jul 30, 2010

Controversy
(the death of writers)
trials this uptight
literate system
- for incorrect usage -

Grammar tops all;
magnification serves
as an always active war
where a misplacement
could easily result,
in extrication -

no longer an honored soldier
but a thief released to humanity.

"Truthful words from the heart
cannot be diminished by error".

Universal writers digest ink,
feeding off what we call passion:

the inspiration and determination
to rise above normal expectancy,
and surpass intelligence.

I actually know what you're saying in this piece, writers often get criticized too much for grammar and other errors, when really what should be looked at closer is the words & the beauty of them because they mean a lot to the writer. A well thought out, excellently written piece. Loved it a lot
