Mental time rift

by kevin Boundy AKA the ghost   Oct 11, 2010

Sitting in a time rift,
in between then, and now.
I never want to leave this place,
not that I know how.

distractions seem to melt away,
in this world without a name.
a place where we are all equal,
free from all money and fame.

you melt into the sounds around you,
immune to all forms of pain.
this place is my only sanctuary.
it is what keeps me sane.

each step I take feels delayed,
slowing down my thoughts pacing
this feeling numbs my battered heart,
finally stopping it from racing.

sitting in this mental time rift,
constantly fading in, and out.
this is where I let it go.
this is what my life's about.
