Too acidic for my love

by Poet on the Piano   Nov 2, 2010

You held out your hand
to stroke the sun,
I ignored your deviations.

spurts of tangerine
fell on your cracked lips
and you squeezed more.

I slept on the shoreline
under white glow
watching while you
engulfed summer rouge.

trying to overpower
the already tangible
for self-driven power.

your heart over swelled
but thirst for creation
burned a heat-less hole.

still waiting for a cure,
as if I can save you now.
