What Does it Matter Now

by Jad   Nov 14, 2010

You walk away from me,
stealing my broken heart;
only to throw it away,
leaving me only with memories.

You whispered tales of love,
yet all I saw was more pain
binding me in your lies,
suffocating all my joy.

You used and hurt me,
Wrapping me in your cold embrace,
sliding in your words of poison
revealing them to be deceit.

What does it matter now?
I'm once again alone
broken, scarred, and lost,
and you are still a memory.

    This is a good poem. All of us had been there atleast once. Time heals all though... Keep that in mind.

    Austin, the emotions that I feel the most are sadness and defeat when I read this. A love gone wrong can bring these feelings to us. It does matter that someone feels the freedom to treat us this way and it matters that we let them.
