Ghost of Glass

by Lady Nik   Jan 7, 2011

Lips molded from pixie
dust find their way
to your cheek kiss
here kiss there
one swipe and I'm
cleared away...

Just like dust upon
a rusty mirror
worthless, ugly
outdated.Clean
her up and call
her finished.

She'd never make it
in this town her
heart still beats
the only thing on
the menu is a
dozen broken
souls to eat.

An angel one says
has wings the color
of air, her shining
halo the color of
hair.

Notice me she screams
but ghost don't make
a sound. Too busy
stuck behind some
average girls frown.

Look at the glass
and tell me what
you see. A cold
blooded ghost
that looks just
like me.

This poem is a mixture of pain, sadness and a bit of anger as well as deep. I also like the
images your words draw in my mind..well penned and take care.

I really like this poem a lot because I have written several poems like this but I think yours hit more of the emotions I was trying to get at but I was unable to. Anyway like I said there are plenty of emotions in here, mostly sad ones and depressing ones. The flow was really good as well. You had some wonderful descriptions in this poem, which made it nice to read as there are mental images coming to mind as one reads.

Overall you did a wonderful job but I hope this poem isn't about you. Still such sadness and gloom looms over this poem and with its message the reader is left with a deep hurting feeling inside. Great job and keep writing.
